A Day In The Life

Pub Grub

We spent part of the day in Freeport, about an hour south of us depending on traffic. The sky was full of clouds but there was plenty of sun and 80 degree temperatures • Our first stop was LL Bean because no one can go to Freeport without stopping here. It’s iconic!! Along with summer sales there were lots of new fall and winter clothing to drool over. We ended up buying some merino wool socks and lined pants to keep us toasty warm in the months ahead • Next, we visited a favorite health food store to shop and pick up the five pounds of frozen Maine blueberries that we ordered in June. Looking forward to adding them to oatmeal and baked goods this fall and winter • All the shopping made us hungry so on the way home we stopped at Gritty’s Pub for a late lunch. We were surprised how quiet it was but it is the end of August and many kids are already back in school • Peace & Love
