Highland games

Early August was my first experience of Highland games. A school friend who had always lived and worked in London has moved in retirement to Forres, just outside Inverness. Previously her love of Scotland had developed through regular holidays at her static caravan in Boat-in-Garten in the Cairngorms.

Invited to stay, we managed to see both the Aberlour and Grantown-on-Spey games, thereby combining both athletic events and show events such as dancing and animal competitions. 

Altogether pleasant community occasions and an opportunity for some photography etec.
