Tram Travel
I’d dearly love to be travelling somewhere at the moment - especially with the pre-op nerves beginning to kick in as Friday gets ever closer. Still, we are so lucky to live in a part of the country which features heavily in the travel plans of so many; we, after all, have North Wales’ beauty on our doorstep.
Today’s Wide Wednesday entry features a pretty unique mode of travel, The Great Orme Tramway being Britain’s only funicular, or cable-hauled, tramway that travels on public roads - it makes for interesting driving when going up or down the narrow Orme roads!
We catch the last few journeys of the tram as crowds wait at the Half Way Station for a tram back into town. My main’s the tram heading here to pick up passengers, almost empty as it’s late in the day to be setting out for the summit, with views across the town and distant hills. In extras there’s a shot through the car windscreen while we wait at the traffic lights for the tram to head down the road to the terminus.
G is feeling much better this morning - thanks so much for your good wishes. And please don’t feel guilty if you laughed - I did too! We visit his mum who knows nothing about the procedure; we feel it’s best to tell her after the event! She’s initially curious as to why he’s wearing a woolly beanie hat in summer - but once he takes it off, she’s just interested in what has happened.
Thanks to Bobsblips for hosting!
