Down by the River

An early start this morning as we had a sky engineer due to come and install Sky Q as the old box was soon to be obsolete and it also didn't work with the new sky streaming channels . The good thing also was when i rung up to arrange it they reduced the price I was paying .
I received a text just after 8.00 to say the engineer was due between 8.45 and 10.45 we was her 2nd job then just after 9.00 received another text to say she was on her way.

When she arrived she said there was a couple of problems  1st the dish we had was on the chimney stack so was unable use that and she also checked our signal strength and it was in the weak side due to aa tree opposite our house which we knew gave us problems in windy conditions . Pleased to say she was an great engineer and looked for solutions , she checked the signal from the back of our house in the backyard and found that she could put a new dish up on the extension where the bathroom is and run a cable all the way down the passage to the front of the house . So 10 out of 10 for her going above and beyond to get us up and running again , she did say some of the other engineers  would have looked at the job and said no chance and cancelled it down but she likes a challenge.

When she had gone a clean up and then made sausage sandwiches for Lunch proper meat ones for me Vegetarian ones for Julie. We then took advantage of the lovely weather as the sun was out and enjoyed a walk along the river bank cycle track to get my river shot for the month .

Back home watching some Cricket England V Sri Lanka  on the new sky box which has a clearer sharper picture could be down to the new box or the stronger signal we are now getting .
