Morning
I was out for my morning walk for the first time in a very long time. As it's been dry, I went out to Cannon Hill Common for a circuit in the wooded area, past the duck pond, and back across the playing fields. It was just over 40 minutes, and the day felt better. I had a soundtrack of modern musicals.
We had a retro and a planning session this morning. A cross-team meeting followed those. There was further frustrating news about the automations (apparently, some are more complex than we first believed), but some good news about the issue we found last week, which was easily fixed. My afternoon was spent trying to work out what's next (and finding the soundtrack of Operation Mincemeat on Apple Music).
In the evening, I decided to go to the gym. Today was the first time I had been this year since my shoulder started to cause me problems. I did half an hour of a brisk walk on the treadmill. When I entered Anytime Fitness, I felt like they were refurbishing bits of it again. There always seems to be something to be built or moved. This may be because they're worried about the competitor gym opening next door at some point soon.
When I got back, I started making dinner. The recipe was a miso carrot pasta sauce. I decided to use up some spaghetti—even though it's my least favourite pasta. PY likes it but never gets it when I am home, so I thought it would be nice. I think he had a stressful day, so I was pleased he didn't have to consider dinner.
We finished The Jetty. At one point, I thought the ending would be pretty unsatisfying, but while not where I imagined it going, it was very well done.
