curns' corner

Another morning

Yet again, I was out for my walk along the same route with another lovely sky, although a bit chillier than yesterday. I seemed to follow more dog walkers than I did yesterday. I was five minutes earlier leaving but out for almost the same time (41 minutes). Today's soundtrack was '80s hits. I only remember "Heartache Avenue" by The Maisonettes playing as I write.

I think getting out is good for me. I have felt more alert these past two days. The super-veggie diet may also be a contributor. Whatever it is, I hope I keep it up.

After the morning stand-ups, we reviewed the solution we're building, and I had a catch-up with George. He's had a similar kind of injection that I am getting in my shoulder tomorrow, and he let me know what to expect. I met with colleagues to iron out the last issues with the targeting automation, and we agreed that we'd aim for a release next Tuesday. I didn't get as many tickets written this afternoon, but I did watch a video on building a home server rack. I don't think I intend to build one. Realtedly, I am delighted with the BT Disc that I added to the network on Sunday afternoon. The internet connection in my office seems much more stable.

After work, it was Tai Chi. Tonight's class was online, and it reminded us of all of the lockdown years. I didn't have much room when standing in front of my desk, but we did a lot of work on "opening the form," which I really liked.

It does mean I ate earlier than I would typically do on a Wednesday. PY made a chestnut mushroom, spinach & chickpea curry, which was lovely and spicy. There's extra to take to The Island with us on Friday and stop us from buying expensive, over-processed food.

We ended tonight watching the first episode of Celebrity Race Around The World, which started in Brazil. It was beautifully filmed and made me want to visit. It encouraged us to decide on our holiday and got me to look up what vouchers I had to spend on flights. We still didn't quite book it.
