Day 3 in England
Finally got some sleep! Late start to the day but never fear Shan was up and cooking us breakfast as soon as possible. I made her some lovely cornflakes as they’re her ‘favourite’ but lo and behold my Rice Krispies were more appealing to her. She tried them and gave a thumbs up and said they were ‘really good’. So I guess that’s her breakfast for tomorrow sorted!
Trying to get out the door to visit G&G but she desperately wanted to bring ALL her toys with us.
Nice cuddles with G&G then playing in the sprinkler with Cici&Vik. She absolutely loved it!! In particular catching the water in her mouth, then complaining about water being on her face?!
A little trip to Blake’s where they played on the swings and slides. The swings were NOT high enough for her, on every push she screamed to go higher!
Late lunch at pizza express, trying dough balls for the first time and making dough ball fingers, of course.
Back to G&G’s to say goodbye before heading off to see her new school. Cuddles turned into maraca dancing for grandpa then we were finally able to leave.
Exciting visit to Fairchildes meeting lots of new teachers, lots of cuddles and high fives. We even met Miss Foster!!! She was really lovely and let us play in Nursery. Shan can’t wait to start her new Nursery.
Driving back home, two mins away from the house and she asks if she can have a ‘little sleep’. I tell her she can try but it’ll only be a couple of mins, nevertheless she fell asleep then continued to ‘sleep’ until I carried her up the stairs to the sofa. Cheeky lady!
I finally had a nice sit down with Archie when Shan said ‘Oh I see you two are having a good time, without me. You must love daddy more than me.’ I had to reassure her I love them both equally!
Dinner time and Shani offers to help me lay the table, which mainly consists of her singing and dancing and telling me I’m doing a good job. Whilst eating her psghetti she turned to Archie and said ‘thank you for cooking dinner for us daddy’. She is a sweetheart.
Finally, bath time! Specifically a bubble bath. She loved it. We video called Nana and Uncle John to show them her bubbly impression of Uncle John - who loved it!
