Foreign tourists

A choice today of where to go:  Floors Castle (closed for the day!), Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies (been) so we ended up going to the Ford and Etal Estates in Northumberland.  It was a beautiful drive down and although we started later than I'd have done if going on my going it was still good - warm!

We went on the train from Heatherslaw to Etal, had a slow lunch there and a walk to the Till then the last train back.  Unfortunately too late for the mill tour but that meant we did see the inside of the Lady Waterford Hall before it closed at 5. Pre-raphaelite and similar to Phoebe Traquair. Interesting talk about art and exhibitions with the woman on the desk.

Home vis Berwick so J could see the name sake of her town in Oz, Eyemouth, where we saw the seals and then straight up the A1.

Another evening of oatcakes and cheese and some tv - the new series of WDYTYA.
