Family day
Another morning when I woke early looking forward to a swim. The pool was busy, not usual on a Friday.
Spent most of the rest of the morning at Straiton, shopping for the family coming and for the things I have to make for Sunday. M&S, Boots, Sainsbury's all got a visit.
Home I prepared the chicken casserole for the Crockpot, had a sandwich and cut the grass then we went down to the Manor to see Mum and let J say goodbye, though hopefully they'll see each other again next year.
The sun has come out by the time we got back so we were in the garden when the first visitors arrived, M, K and the kids. It was good we were outside as there was plenty of space for J and E to play on the grass. J and D arrived next, delayed by a disappearing bus. The wine and nibbles were out and it was really warm in the sun.
The Sinclair family left to go off for dinner and about 5 minutes later M and H arrived. More wine, nibbles, reminiscing and catching up.
Once the sun died being the roof we moved inside for dinner and I managed not to overcook the veg.
J and D left to get the bus back to Roslin and M and H stayed a while.
It was a good day, good to see the family together.. It ended with the news that Y's s in l, K, had secured 4 tickets in the Oasis pre sale.
