Getting ready

Dufton Show tends to be associated with the August Bank Holiday, but it has nothing to do with it. Traditionally the show has always been held on the last Saturday of August, which is often the Bank Holiday weekend. But not always. This year it is the weekend after - tomorrow, the last day of August. I wonder how often this happens.

Anyway, it has turned out well for the Show. Last Saturday was wet and cold; it looks as though tomorrow will be lovely, like today. One couldn’t ask for a better setting for a traditional agricultural show so, with sunshine, it should be a good day for everyone.
