Happy birthday C!
After we had all had a slow morning, we headed into Windsor for a look around. The first car park we looked up online promised a park-and-ride, but while we found the parking, the ride was nowhere to be seen. We continued to the centre and found parking much closer to the shops, but at a cost of £17.80 for our hours there.
We wandered around the Royal Arcade at the station. C was able to go shopping at some nice stores while the rest of us wandered other shops or sat on a bench, people-watching. There was a dog-focused pet shop, and by the end of the day, Scarlett had a new collar. I turned down the free sample of bubble tea because it was never appealing, but later regretted it, as it might have been interesting to sample.
Part of the castle was closed to visitors because, I think, there was some kind of investiture happening. We hadn't planned to look around, but we did stop at a nearby Starbucks for a pit stop out of the drizzle that had started falling. They were very friendly and offered a doggie cappuccino.
Later, there were presents and bubbly to celebrate. The cake PY had smuggled from home was brought out, and we all had a slice and sang 'Happy Birthday' again. It was a lovely evening.
