Pogonocherus Hispidus
My friend and I went over to the craft shops at Castle Ashby this morning and whilst she was talking on the phone to her son, I purchased three small ceramic pots, which are now on the mantlepiece, and a handbag for special occasions. I tend to use Kipling bags because they have lots of pockets and carry a multitude of items including the occasional camera.
We then sat in the sunshine for coffee and she talked about the fact her son and family had been involved in a shunt on the M4 whilst coming back from Devon. They had stopped in stationary traffic, but the car behind ploughed into them. Fortunately they are all ok and the police were able to help them drive the car off to a safe spot for it to be collected. I think they are now safely home but C was a bit shaken up and I was wishing her son hadn't rung and told her for another couple of days, when it wouldn't have been such a shock.
I have no idea what this tiny creature is apart from its title, which I think is tthe correct ID, and it has quite a cute face.
