Rosa rugosa

This is another of those plants I have only ever known by its scientific name.  However it would seem it is also known as beach rose, Japanese rose, Ramanas rose, and Letchberry.

A busy morning the repair man fitted the waste pipe to the dishwasher.  I am glad I didn't try it took him the first 20 minutes or so to get the top off.  After he finished it was more or less straight off to the village hall to start work on taking down the marquee.  I got everything that could be done single handed done and fortunately that coincided with "many hands" for lowering the roof  and finishing off.

After lunch we wandered back to the village hall for something we had forgotten and discovered we had forgotten two things!  On the way I blipped this rose.
