Rare Sight In Cornwall
No gardening today, it seems a strange week, three consecutive days doing my own thing, is this what retirement is like?
The paddle steamer Waverley is in Falmouth, she is is the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. She was built in 1946, and sailed from Craigendoran on the Firth of Clyde to Arrochar on Loch Long until 1973. She was bought by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society and has been restored to her 1947 appearance and now operates passenger excursions around the British coast.
Difficult to catch a glimpse of her as she is out and about most the daylight hours.
Didn’t even get to row this evening, we were scheduled for a Trustees Meeting that clashed but was cancelled late on in the day.
