Quiet But Picking Up

Bank Holiday Monday, once you retire any Bank Holiday is pretty much like any other day. I headed down town birthday shopping for my granddaughter Chloe. Books, usually a safe bet for a soon to be twelve year old, but Chloe is a prolific reader. I made two choices just hope she likes them.
The High Street end of the town was pretty quiet but it got busier as you moved through the town. Same problem as usual, weather not bright and sunny so head into town to ‘shop’.
Home to wrap and address the parcel ready for the post office, all Septembers cards written, addressed and stamped ready to post through the month on the required dates.
Mrs S was on a long day shift so for our walk today Paddy and I headed off to meet her and walk home.

Todays photo, I have noticed this arch many times as I walk down town, it sits on its plinth outside St Mary’s Catholic Church, no idea what it was or what it might have been, seems too low for a window, not high enough for a door.
