Rowans
Back to work for me today. It was a real shock to the system, I had a lovely chat with a few colleagues when I got into the office, then reality hit. Almost as soon as I had logged on, I got a message from a colleague – I am so glad you are back, then a second message, - how was your holiday. It sounds like things have been really busy while I have been off. My day was crazy busy. I barely left my desk all day, and did not get a lunch break. Thankfully I had taken a sandwich with me, so I managed to grab that at my desk.
I was determined not to be too late home on my first day back. I got home and made tea – a pasta, chicken, tomato and pesto concoction, which was well received. BB was at rugby training, came home, devoured his pasta, then got himself ready for a party. I dropped him off, then went for a very late walk, in the dark, as I did not have ten thousand steps.
These rowans are an emergency blip. As the blackbirds were eating them before we went on holiday, I am surprised that there are still so many on the tree. They also feel like a sign of autumn.
