Day Two: Defeated by the Heat

It said 33 degrees and feels like 35 degrees....well whatever the temperature actually was we had to keep retiring back to the apartment for a break from the heat today. We saw a little bit more of Rome today but we have yet to explore the older parts of the city...perhaps tomorrow aided by a Metro ride to avoid too much heat and walking. We did manage to visit the local supermarket a total of four times today...each time coming back with more drinks, alcohol, ice cream, fruit, cheese, ham, salami....a truly well balanced diet.

Taking to wandering around in the evening with the camera(s) (Filmblipper insists on following me everywhere) to escape the worst of the heat and the unforgiving sun (which isn't very photogenic).....need to go now and finish my Peroni.
