Green Veined White
Last night we enjoyed watching Wigan play - and beat - Catalans Dragons in a boiling hot Perpignan. (We watched at home from our reasonably warm sofa...) We enjoyed it as it was a good win for the Warriors... The League Leaders' Shield could well be decided next week when we play Hull KR at home. It is a must win for us. The RFL and Sky TV probably would prefer a brand new name on the trophy... I would not!
We had a couple of drinks, online gaming and TV viewing when it was not our turn to play until pretty late, hence it was not too early a start this morning. Before lunch we decided to have a drive out to Snakeholme Butterfly Reserve, and we were delighted to see it living up to the billing - lovely common blue ones (see extra), , a couple of tiny blue ones the names of which I don't know, red admirals, lots of large whites and some of these green veined whites too.
Snakeholme is a small reserve, very wild and really good for wildlife - always worth a visit.
After lunch we watched more Rugby and now Man U v Liverpool is on - the less said about that the better!
