Day 4

If it is Sunday, I must be in Berlin. 

I had a couple of things on my wish list for the day, in addition to sitting around relaxing of course. 

The first was to visit the Stasi Museum a bit further east in Normannenstraße. An SBahn and a UBahn later, and I was there. It is fascinating, but not obvious Blip material. State security tends to be that way. I have stuck a shot of Erich Mielke’s office in as an Extra for anyone with a love for such geekery and/or an obsession with Communist-style, mid-century modern furnishings. 

My other idea for the day was to have lunch at Volkskammer - a DDR style restaurant not far from my hotel. I found it. I ate there. I loved it. I am Blipping my Schweineschnitzel. 

The other Extra is the Wall, which is outside my hotel. At this point the Spree was the border so the Wall was there to stop citizens who wished to leave from making a swim for it. Seven died at this short section, several of them shot by the border guards.
