Monmouth Walk

Midday we drove ten minutes to Monmouth (South Wales, UK) to do some shopping and take the dogs for a walk around Vauxhall Fields. It's ideal for letting them off the lead to have a good run, and flat to keep an eye on them!  The main photo' is taken of the River Monnow at the back of Monmouth Castle, showing the 'beach' area and Church Spire of St Mary's Church (1075AD) reflection in the water.

Afterwards we stopped at Costa Coffee (other coffee shops are available!) and sat outside with the dogs who had a free bowl of water! (see extra)

We've had the dogs nine days whilst daughter Lorna and family had a holiday abroad. She came to collect them about 4pm and left us with granddaughter Amelia for the night. I'm not sure which is the easier to look after - the dogs or Amelia!  She's back to school on Tuesday after the teacher training day tomorrow.
