A Grand Day Out

Nice and sunny all day. As Lando and I were up early after breakfast we went to the local shop for bread and milk. We passed loads of boats on the canal and after waving at the same one at two different locks the man remarked we obviously weren't in a hurry to get anywhere! Lando definitely likes exploring his surroundings and as a grandparent it is possible to take longer than as a harassed parent. 
Once everyone was organised we went to Polly's Coffee Stop at lock 10. This is served from a horse box and Lando enjoyed playing with the toys he borrowed. 
There is a picture of Rachel here a few days before Lando was born so it had to be re-created.
We then went to Kilmory Beach which is at the end of a windy, single track road so I was glad not to meet many people coming the other way. It was definitely worth the drive as it is beautiful and Lando loved running in and out of the sea.
A bit more gardening for Kris and I when we got back then a chippy tea. A good end to the day.
