Erection II

This may look like a photo of a rugby pitch and it is. Tregenver Rugby Pitch is on loan to Falmouth Rugby Club from King Charles School, it’s ours to use and look after.
At 09:00 this morning it had no posts, at 5:00 this evening they were up.
Just the two of us, Club Chair, John and I worked pretty much all day in the sun.
Each post & crossbar set required 20 nuts and bolts fitted after drilling the holes, all lined up by eye, greased to weather proof and washers fitted.
Having fitted one hinge bolt we walked them upright, I held them and John fitted the second hinge bolt, (they can be lowered in either direction), they were then bolted securely to the base plates.
All this in the red hot weather.

All done and home for dinner with Mrs S and then out. I had two options, Beach BBQ with Epic or a couple of beers with Steve. I opted for the couple of beers, home early, up and out early tomorrow.
