Moorhen

There was a bit of a lull in the relentless rain this morning so on my way back from the garage I popped into Maxwell Park for a quick circuit of the pond.

Not too much activity on the water but this Moorhen caught my attention. I've seen many of these birds but today was the first time I had spotted such a display of white tail feathers.
