Nicky and her Nikon

Birthday flowers

I have had a busy day doing admin and errands. While it has been quite hot today it has also been cloudy and dull, and Xena was lucky to get a walk before it started raining. The rain did not last which is a pity as we actually need it as everything is so dry at the moment. I saw on the news that this summer the north of the country has been wetter than usual and us in the south has been drier than usual. It has, as we all know, been the coolest summer since 2015, no surprises there as it has been a dreadful summer.

I previously mentioned that I had to wait three months to see a dermatologist for a private appointment. I received a letter saying that appointment has been cancelled and was rebooked for a month later, at the end of November. It's just not good enough as I am concerned about this mole on my face that is growing at an alarming rate. I phoned them back and told them not to bother, and have found another dermatologist in Guildford that I am seeing in two months time. That took a fair bit of time sorting that out today, and then I also booked Xena's annual vaccinations.

Tonight is the first camera club meeting of the new season, it's the one where we invite prospective new members to come meet the members and hear about our club, so hopefully we get some new members. I need to get my prints done for the camera club competitions coming up, but that is tomorrow's job.

I had no time for photos today other than photographing these beautiful flowers Luke and Meriel bought me for my birthday.
