Old Poole
I am having trouble with my computer/website so I wont write much here until it is working again! Still backblipping ....
Partially working again:
Bank Holiday Monday and we are still in Poole. Today we visited the quayside and were lucky enough to take a water taxi from Poole Port Marina around to the jetty where we were safely deposited without falling through the gap! It was crowded but we managed to buy a salad roll and drink and walked to the less touristy far end to sit on a bench and watch the world go by. There were many dogs of all shapes and sizes, one with three legs, as there were boats moored in the harbour - small craft, sailing boats and large expensive gin palaces (Poole is a place of motor boat manufacture and once the maker of Poole Pottery and the headquarters of the RNLI). We then walked to the quieter High Street with its beautiful architecture. The pink Kings Head is the second oldest pub in the town built in the 17 C.
