Village Flower and Craft Show

This afternoon was the 80th Village Flower and Craft Show in the village hall.  We arrived early and were able to enjoy the many exhibits of flowers, cakes, homemade wines, jams and chutneys, vegetables, photographs, and crafts before the crowd arrived. Tea and homemade cakes were served afterwards and we sat outside under gazebos as the weather was unsettled with a few heavy showers and thunder. Then the prizes and the raffle prizes were presented.  I didn't win anything but earlier in the summer I had won some Moonshine at the Street Fayre!  It was a happy time with old friends bumping into each other and greetings exchanged.  One little boy was upset as he hadn't won a prize with his drawings but perhaps he will be lucky next year.
