Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

everything is coming up roses

What a foul day. It's been wet or wetter for almost the whole day today.
I was out early with Ali and Josie as I accompanied them to her swimming lesson. She had a great time and I was impressed by how well she listened and carried out the tasks. They came back here for coffee afterwards and Josie had a hunt to find any new or different toys.
This afternoon we had to go to Falkirk and on the way back stopped at Mannerstons for a late lunch. The place was mobbed. I noticed something which I've seen in other places we go to eat, - People having meetings, one table had 4 laptops out and 4 cups of coffee. They were there when we arrived and still there when we left. There was another meeting going on which seemed like an appraisal/progress meeting, not very private, but on the other hand we couldn't hear detail and it seemed very good natured, again they had a cup off coffee each. It must be difficult for restaurants/cafes they need the custom but at busy times they also need the table back. For the first time I understand why they sometimes tell you the length of time you can have your table.
I made the weekly food supply today, sausage casserole all rounder. It's all cooked and divided into the respective family portion sized trays to collect.
We're going to watch the next episode of Unforgotten series 1 tonight having finished the first series of Crime yesterday.
In the lack of anything more interesting my blip is of my bargain flowers from Waitrose yesterday
