Ave!
Talk about taking his name in vain! I wonder what he'd think.
I had my stint in the charity shop this morning. Our's is a very community based little shop so it's nice to see lots of people I know by sight coming in, and having the chance to chat to them. I'm enjoying doing random shifts at the moment, it means I also get to know all the staff.
I shot home afterwards and just had time to wash my hair before going to a friend's house blessing. They have downsized from a large house in Morningside to a flat in Merchiston. Life on one level is much easier for them as she has Parkinson's. The flat is on the third floor but has a lift so access is much easier. They're still living in a house full of boxes though. They had invited a small group of friends and I was delighted to be included. It meant rearranging a previously booked catch up, (thank you) but I'm looking forward to that next week.
My blip is of my lunch. I went by bus to their flat, on the 38 giving myself plenty of time and ended up with an hour to spare. Not having eaten, I stopped in a lovely little cafe in Ashley Terrace and thoroughly enjoyed this freshly made salad. It looks a good place to meet up with my friend for coffee now they are away from Morningside.
This afternoon I went across to Dunfermline to pick up the trousers I ordered last week from Cotton Traders. I ended up buying a couple of t shirts in the sale too.
I got home just in time for dinner. The roads were much lesser congested today. Twenty minutes in each direction, if I hadn't hit traffic at Cramond Brig it would likely have been even less on the return trip - so who knows what was going on my last trip over.
Looking forward to meeting a friend up from Romsey tomorrow after church. Depending on the weather, which changes every time I look at a forecast, we may be going to Loch Leven.
