Pink:-)
A strange day weather-wise. Either raining, or being humid and damp. I did two lots of washing - like my mum 65-70 years ago I do my washing on a Monday if I have time. But nothing could be hung outside to dry. My mum used to spend all morning with a boiler, a mangle, and dolly blue to make the whites whiter. I would always be recruited to help if I was at home. All I have to do is measure some liquid and press a button. Aren’t we lucky.
I’m reaching the stage where I have more tomatoes and apples than I can eat, so have been taking some around to neighbours. The apples are really nice - cox orange sunset. I still have lots despite the naughty magpies, who only peck the ones right at the top. It’s lovely to give something to neighbours who are kind and friendly to me.
Above are flowers currently blooming in my pots. Many are still doing well, though some have got very straggly. The black-eyed susan (top left) is clambering all over my new trellis fence. Definitely going to grow those again. The pink - bottom left - is flowering again after I deadheaded the first flowers. Ditto the astrantia top right. So it is worth doing it:)
