A man that did . . .
Yesterday I blipped that I would have to get a ‘man that can’ to make good the broken fence. Today that ‘man that can’ turned out to be me.
After yesterday’s exercise I fully expected to be stiff and aching today – far from it.
The posts that were rotten had honeysuckle roots embedded in the post support which had eaten away the wood. The supports were solid so all (?) I had to do was clean them out – that was the biggest job!
I have used timber that I had about the place. I think it all came from a gazebo erected some thirty years ago which I replaced with sheds when we moved in (twenty years ago). We’ll let the Honey Suckle and the Winter Jasmin get re-established then possibly put up a trellis.
So two good days in a row – we have Biskit tomorrow.
