Water conditioner

It's taken me over a year to decide what sort of water conditioner to get, and meanwhile, since I live an an area of hard water, the limescale has been building up, but finally, today, this was installed.

I didn't want a water softener using salt because it means installing a separate drinking water tap. I looked at electrolytic conditioners, sacrificial conditioners and this turbulence based one. It's almost impossible to get information about how long conditioners are effective so I hope I haven't bought some expensive jiggery-pokery.

The masking tape is holding the pipe supports in place temporarily because they are glued not screwed.
