Can you tell what it is yet?

Hopefully, one day soon, there will be a recognisable bird where once there was just a block of wood.

I drifted into carving a few months ago and have found it more than challenging. I had intended to learn to make nice wooden boxes and photo frames and so had built a small workshop (whole other story). Spoke to a fellow quizzer, (yet another story) who I knew was a carver , about sources of wood. He said ' come round and do a bit of carving'.
Went round. Did a bit. Hooked!!
