Hares Ears …..

….. ….. ….. at the entry to Doubtful Sound in Fiordland.

It was a full on day, with us steaming from Dusky Sound via the Acheron Passage to Doubtful Sound.
We made a side tour from the Acheron Passage up WetJacket Arm, and walked up Herrick Creek to Moose Lake. This place is significant in New Zealand’s remote history, in that moose actually were placed or homed here and some believe are still here! It’s a matter of much conjecture! We did even see footprints but thought that they were deer footprints.
There’s a photo of Moose Lake in Extras, plus a couple of the forest we walked through - an amazing place.

This is BackBlip no.5 of our Fiordland adventure.
