Day at a Time

Bullfinch in the rowan tree

I spotted this bullfinch (one of this year's fledglings maybe) enjoying a breakfast of rowan berries. It was hard to make the blip as the berries are thick and the leaves are hanging on. But eventually it popped its head out of all the foliage.

Beautiful sunny morning but a definite nip in the air first thing. I made banana bread yesterday when we got back from Glasgow but the people visiting this morning only wanted black coffee. I see these young people once a year as they live a long way away. I like having younger friends. It's was so good to catch up with all their news but I wish they'd helped out with the banana bread. I know I can freeze it of course.

This afternoon I'll be off to meet the girls from school and take them back to their house for a couple of hours till their mum and dad finish work.
