Meals On Wheels

A visit to ‘Herr Doktor’ for exchanging news over a rather fine venison stew prepared by Patricia, my better half. Herr Doktor had prepared one of his pudding deserts.

We were joined by Pat 2 and enjoyed a rather convivial afternoon, before heading back home.

And the wheels? Today’s photo shows what is under the bonnet of our Citröen Cactus. On the way home the instruments showed that the oil level should be checked.

The oil stick is attached to the  green  handle in the thumbnail. and indeed the oil level does need topped up.

I have ordered the appropriate oil through Amazon and will attend to this to this as soon as the oil arrives.

Everyone enjoyed the meal and conversation, some being helped by red wine.

I remained as ‘sober as a judge’.

It was a good day to be away from home as the electricity power supply  was shut down to allow an equipment upgrade to be carried out at ‘our’ substation. We had been advised of this by letter ten days before.

The loss of power was advised by our alarm system which confirmed that it was working on ‘mobile backup’. Restoration was duly advised by the alarm system.

When we returned home, I checked throughout and all the Apple technology was working and able to communicate with the world.
