Rugbyman

I wrote a few weeks ago about Philippe. He runs a market van with a side that drops down to become a sales van. His stock is grocery and a bit of fruit and veg.

He has recently set up a pitch outside the church at St Privat as a stopgap for the little village shop which closed back in July. Another victim of the gradual decline in village stores across rural France. Jut like at home in the UK.

He is doing a fine job and I paid him a visit in front of the church this morning.

He is a splendid fellow and has the build of one of the rugby players from the south west of France. Their term for a "good bloke" is a rugbyman and he is the perfect example.
