Ancient!

I expect Bramble feels quite ancient after a few hours in the car , we were certainly glad to stretch our legs .
The photo was taken from the trig point on Beacon Hill , looking out over the oldest part of Leicestershire. In the foreground are some outcrops of ancient volcanic rocks ( Precambrian)
Tomorrow we fly south to a more modern volcanic rocky crop , known by most as Madeira .Lucky us !
