The flat cap brigade

Last week we walked in Ashington and Cliff, on the left of my image, told us great stories of growing up there.

Eric tried on Cliff’s flat cap and liked it. Today, Cliff brought a new cap for Eric. Will the trend spread I wonder?

I led a 7 mile walk from Gunnerton. It was a perfect day and all the bits of route joined up. I did take the walkers into Great Swinburne village to see it. We walked to where we could look at the beautiful Manor House, but the owner was not keen on our presence. Oh dear!

I suspect I will not hear the end of it!

This is the first walk I have led for the Wednesday group since my hip replacement. I was thrilled to do it.
