Spotted

Former Blippers, the Macdubs, were taken aback when I handed them a towel in preparation for our walk at Bortons Pond this afternoon. 

Fortunately they were game to paddle across the ford, very carefully. It meant that we could do the full 5km circuit of the Pond without any backtracking, which I much prefer.

It was a beautiful afternoon: a light westerly breeze, 19C, sunshine and the occasional cloud. The views up the Waitaki Valley to the snow-topped mountains were stunning. And of course we met nobody whatsoever.

Bean loved it. As usual numerous smells kept her busy from go to whoa. She will sleep well tonight.
