He's here!

Lucas born at 15.48 weighing 9lb 9oz. Mother and baby doing well.

Rachel was taken to the theatre suite at 8.30am but unfortunately due to several delays did not go for her c-section until 3.30pm. In that time I drove to Paisley, delivered some food to Kris and checked into my cheap and cheerful motel (maybe not so cheerful but we'll gloss over that!)
Rachel phoned about 4.30pm to say that Lucas had been born but he had a bit of trouble breathing so had gone to the Special Care unit with Kris. I went to the hospital and I was allowed to go into the recovery room with Rachel. 
After a couple of hours they were reunited on the main ward. I stayed until midnight when Rachel and Lucas were settling down for the night.
My goodness I've got another beautiful baby boy to love. It's such a privilege to be a grandparent.
