An easy day for me, more work for Hanulli (see her and Teba's entries), who paved the ramp with small blocks of granite.
We put a vole grid in the three raised beds. The grids were wider and longer than each bed, so we had to bend all sides. But the grids are so stiff, they wouldn't bend back and leave gaps for the voles. But we also put a layer of approximately 10cm soil at the bottom of the beds, on top of the grids. That will keep them in place (and the voles out).
