75 years old..

I have been continuing my sort out of old clothes, a few I have of my mothers and some very old ones of mine too which have been in cupboards and suitcases for ages. 

This is my mother’s two piece wedding outfit, from 1949. It is made of a crepe material. I have blipped a photo of the wedding before, back in February, but that was not in colour. I spent some time steam ironing it and it has come out looking better than expected. The waist is tiny…I have never been able to fit into it!  I have contacted a small fashion museum in Blandford Dorset, where my mother went to school,  to see if they would like it and they have said yes please. I have a couple of other items for them too, will also get some photos of her copied and some of her school reports! My daughter thinks this is for the best too as she can not fit into it either! 
So I will deliver in a few weeks time when I go to see a friend who lives nearby.

I was woken up by rain at six this morning and it has been on and off all day.

Not great for those who have test match tickets today..including some of my family who have come up to the Oval from Somerset!
