Friday: Protecting Veggies

These are the storage boxes which are protecting my brassicas from all sorts of creatures which will munch them - in particular SLUGS, we’ve had lots of wet and damp weather which suits the nocturnal slugs and snails perfectly, that’s when I put the lids on the boxes :-) Lids come off during the day so that the plants grow in fairly natural conditions.

Sunny weather, around 20°C, gentle breeze - perfect drying weather for the washing. Too hot to sit outside, but I did sit in the shade to peel and core some of the Bramley apple windfalls to make compote with another small box of frozen blackberries from last year - think these might be the last, we’ll have to go blackberrying to re-stock the freezer for the winter!!

MrD was on deliveries and had a fairly problem free day.

Wishing everyone a relaxing and enjoyable weekend  :-))
