Sunny September

What a beautiful warm and sunny September day. I was working today but not far from home so was lucky to have my lunch break at home in the garden and was back home again not long after 5pm to enjoy the warmth of the sun.
I was delighted that two peacock butterflies had found the last blooms of our buddleia at lunchtime and a red admiral (in extra) found us this afternoon. The peacocks were the tattiest butterflies I have ever seen, with holes in their wings and faded colours, poor things, having had to put up with our horrible weather this summer. The red admiral was the only one I have seen this year and it made my day by stopping by.
