Beautiful Bute in the sunshine

Another absolutely gorgeous day and we made the most of it by heading over to Bute. 
We got the 10:05 ferry, from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay, which was completely full, leaving one car behind to wait for the next one. The sea was so calm, a perfect crossing. Coffee and pastries in Gather Deli then into Rothesay Castle where I saw the little wagtail on the battlements in extra. Next we drove to the Kingarth Hotel for lunch outside in the garden. On to Scalpsie Bay for a walk on the beach. We just missed a wedding ceremony which took place on the beach at 1pm, I bet the newlyweds could not believe their luck with the weather, it looked like the Caribbean! There were lots of guests all gathered in a field with a marquee having a lovely time in the sunshine. After another wee drive we had an ice cream while we waited for the ferry ant 5pm, a lovely return sailing back to Wemyss Bay then the drive home again to sit out in the garden. What a wonderful day.
