Silvered

Spent way too long on this, ahem, considering the goal was to get up a quick photo to go with this week's Tiny Tuesday TT484 results!  The weather was grim, but the clouds were beautiful, and I'd decided to blip my broken, tarnished piece of native silver, originally in the shape of a C (my initial, for our silver wedding anniversary) as a segue from TT484 minerals to TT485 decay.  Suddenly I was reminded of Delia Falconer's wonderful The Service of Clouds and silver photographic plates, but the idea took way too long in the execution!

Anyway, here at long last (it’s been a busy week), the results for TT484 (theme minerals/crystals).  It was great getting to meet lots of new faces – and see some familiar ones too.  Some interesting backstories and interpretations of the themes, and some lovely specimens too.  In no particular order, these are the ones I’m highlighting…

Hearts
TeeJay Ice Crystals
DawnP Mining for Quartz
RHelena Crystal
Maureen482 Scarab Beetle
Flumgummery Keenawaw Crest

Honourable Mentions
Fitzbilly Chalk
Davidc Rock Salt B
Crispin25 Geode
Freuchie Agate
JensPhotos Malachite Rhino
Heanku Gravel Path

And I did really love the SeriousFrolic’s Furl, which captured the geometric intent of my theme (and my love of ferns)

Next week’s Tiny Tuesday is decay  (tag #TT485), so post a close-up or focus on something tiny that represents the theme, whether it’s ugly-beautiful or just plain ugly.  Results posted following Saturday (or possibly Friday, since my Saturday will be pretty jam packed).
