We had an early start to arrive in time for an 11am meeting. We made a dash to the uniform sale after discovering on Tuesday night that almost none of her PE kit fit her anymore. Nor her school skirts or jumpers. Thankfully, we got everything in the sale which saved me about £300 on new. 

We had a quick pit stop in the car, sheltering from pouring rain, before it felt like we just needed to get the drop off over with. Sometimes, she likes me to dump and run. But today we unpacked together and settled her properly. She's very glad they've let her stay in the same room, and she has the same bed by the window. 

 We had a chat with her house parent, who came to find some calm away from the chaos of a house full of new sixth formers. I left Katie after about an hour, setting up her lego corner.
