Llangollen Canal

Made it to Llangollen today. Here is Dave and Trish steering Harlequin over the spectacular Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Thomas Telford built the aquaduct to carry the Llangollen canal over the River Dee. Completed in 1805 constructed of an iron trough supported by 19 masonry piers and standing 126ft high. A wonderful engineering feat.
