River of Flowers

Saturday: Garden Colour

Slept well until the owls woke me up around 4:30am, love listening to them so don’t mind :-)

Had a lazy morning - potted on a Chilli “Naga” which is the only one that survived from this Spring’s sowing. Wandered around the garden looking for some flowers which I haven’t blipped recently:

Purple Hebe, which was actually in flower in January - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3198756538353191204

Pink Sedum, which the bees love!

White thyme flowers, also loved by the bees but I find the scent uplifting and always give the leaves a squeeze when I go past.

Dark Blue Lobelia

MrD had spent a couple of hours picking blackberries and they needed a wash in cold water before drying on a large platter which I keep specially for this job. We have a good stock of blackberries in the freezer now to make compote with  Bramley cooking apples and maybe a pie! :-))

Tonight we are watching the first few episodes of “Line of Duty”.
