Doddington sculptures

A grey and mizzly at times sort of day which was a shame because the plan all summer has been to meet up with a friend and ex-colleague to go and see the sculptures at Doddington Hall before it ends tomorrow. To be fair, it stayed dry and the moisture and rain drops added something to some of the sculptures. This one was my favourite and one of the first ones that we saw. The garden was looking lovely, in spite of the grey backdrop and we had a good catch up and a lovely lunch.

It's been a crafty sort of a day with my dining room curtain pole fixed back in position before I headed out. It had fallen down in the week having been a bit precarious after I had painted but is now firmly fixed with some different raw plugs and without the need to re-drill holes. And then the shortening of the bestest friend's dress for her doctorate graduation on Tuesday. Length decided first thing and then completed once I was back. It looks fairly neat and the length was right so I was pleased it worked. And all of the above with a cold which I am not happy to have caught only in week one. My immunity needs a significant boost clearly.
